HURRICANE LAURA DEBRIS REMOVAL UPDATE
[vc_row css_animation="" row_type="row" use_row_as_full_screen_section="no" type="full_width" angled_section="no" text_align="left" background_image_as_pattern="without_pattern"][vc_column][vc_column_text]Crowley, LA – Today, Mayor Tim Monceaux issued the following update on Hurricane Laura debris removal: “As reported by the media in a release sent by my office this past weekend, the contractor hired by Acadia Parish and the City of Crowley, DRC, was to begin removing debris today, Monday, August 31st. The contract has been signed; however, the Parish and City are still working on the details with FEMA for correct disposal and reimbursement for expenses associated with the debris removal. The anticipated date for debris removal to begin is this Thursday or Friday (September 3rd or 4th). This does allow our citizens a few extra days to gather their debris to the curb for pick up. Please remember your debris must be stacked in three separate piles, as follows: “Construction Debris” (building materials, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture, mattresses, plumbing) “Vegetative Debris” (tree branches, leaves and logs) “White Goods” (refrigerators, washer and dryers, freezers, air conditioners, stoves, water heaters and dishwashers). It is very important that these items are separated in piles by the three types, construction, vegetative and white goods. If the items are combined in a pile it will NOT be picked...
