GOVERNMENT ALDERMEN

The City Council performs the legislative functions and is the legally constituted lawmaking and policy-making body for the City of Crowley. Major duties of the City Council include: adopting an annual budget; enacting policies concerning the operation of the city; enacting local ordinances; and appointing members of the various boards and committees. City Council also has the authority to call bond referendums in the city and enter into contracts.

COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

City Council meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of the month.

City Board of Aldermen meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor in the Council Chamber of Criminal Justice Building, 426 North Avenue F (corner of Avenue F and 5th Street. An agenda of the upcoming City Board of Aldermen meeting is posted in City Hall, 425 North Parkerson, on the Friday before the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting.

The public is invited and welcome to attend City Council meetings.

The City of Crowley government committees meet on the Tuesday before the City Council meetings at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd floor in Council Chambers of Criminal Justice Building, 426 North Avenue F (corner of Avenue F and 5th Street).
